Toms is on a ROLL

Toms keeps churning out new styles and colors and every time it just gets better. Sometimes hard to wear, but if you're ever in doubt throw on some skinny jeans/loose rolled up jeans/distressed jean shorts and you're sure to have a killer outfit with an Austin-vibe.

Roma's Custom Boots

If you're in the market or even if you're not, Roma's boots will wet anyones appetite once you've seen a custom pair of these cowboys boots. You literally customize everything on these from the stitching and patterns to the sole color and shape of the toe. The store doesn't look like much but they produce excellent craftsmanship. Ask for Gonzolo, he's a gem.

Word of advice, do your research on what type of boot you want before you come in so you can get your foot measured and the boot ordered on the first visit. Usually takes between 4-6 weeks. Well worth the little wait!

Focus On: Acne SS10

This a.m. I got an email blast from Acne showcasing several of their new Spring/Summer '10 styles. It was enticing enough to click-through, so I thought I would share some of my favorite looks from their new collection. Acne does an excellent job staying on top of trends and giving their own take on how they perceive the current trends. For instance, I love what they're doing for the denim/blue trend as well as what's going on with neutrals in this collection. Even if you don't want to pay for their duds, you can get some great inspiration on how to revamp your wardrobe and what key pieces you might need for this season. For the most part, very updated simple-hipster-chic vibe going on here.

Cork It

I adore cork flats this season. Neiman's just put out these Louboutins and I am still obsessed with these Blahniks that I'm happy to say are sitting pretty in my closet. Literally cork goes with anything this spring. LOVE (just like the Loubs) cork for spring! A definite investment piece for the season.

I know everyone is saying that clogs are going to be an "it" item this spring, but be warned this piece of fashion one can easily get wrong.

GET THE LOOK: Shades of Denim

Still loving those chic chambray button downs, but there's more in the world of denim and denim hues in the future (i.e. spring). Denim is no longer limited to our skinny jeans. You can take this look more downtown chic with biker boots and fun jewelry (like the one below) or more feminine with ruffles, ballet flats, etc. Make it your own this season and definitely experiment because that's where you'll win with this look. Another plus, this trend does not have to break the bank. See some ideas below.

YSL Resort Shoes Are OUT!

Just got a sneak peak of YSL's resort shoe collection via Neiman Marcus (it doesn't seem the other leading retailers are wanting to release too many spring styles while they still have fall inventory) and they look amazing! I can't wait to see the full collection for spring/summer! Ladies, I know it's just now starting to get cold, but it doesn't hurt to look and besides they're all pre-order now anyways. Check them out, but be savvy because there are some deals to be found. For example, they have brought back the Tribute for another season and instead of featuring it in Camel like they did last season it's now featured in a color they call Sable, but that's really more pale nude...few shades lighter than last season. Regardless, they're both neutrals so if the difference in the two neutrals is no biggie for you (and might I add that their resort shoes ranging in neutral tones) it would be a nice savings of around $260. Shades of tans, beige dominate with pops of bright orange and some fuchsia.
